Between Sunday June14th and Monday June 22nd, tram contractors will be carrying out track finishing and remedial works in Clifton.

As a result, Southchurch Drive will be closed between Donington Road and Green Lane, with signed diversions in place.

There will also be one-way traffic on Southchurch Drive between Farnborough Road and Donington Road; on Farnborough Road between Nottingham Road andSouthchurch Drive; and on Southchurch Drive from Farnborough Road to its junction with Green Lane.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation on different sections of these routes from Wednesday, July 1, to Sunday, July 12.

Meanwhile, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in operation at the Queen’s Drive/ng2 junction for works on Saturday (June 13) for one day. There will also be a temporary lane closure for traffic heading into the city at Abbey Bridge between Monday, June 15 and Thursday, June 18.

A NET Spokesperson said: “The opportunity is being taken to complete some localised track works in between the extensive driver training and system testing that is currently taking place across both the new Clifton and Chilwell tram routes. This will allow the final stages of preparation for passenger services to begin.”
