The City Council will soon be carrying out planned resurfacing works on Hungerhill Road between the junctions of Aster Road and Ransom Road. The work will begin on Monday 15th June and is due to be completed on Tuesday 23rd June. Working times will be restricted to the daytime hours between 8.00am and 16.30pm each day.

During the work, Hungerhill Road will be open to through traffic but temporary lights will be used to manage traffic so road users should allow extra time for journeys. It may also be necessary to temporarily move some bus stops during this work. Access to the side streets will be restricted at times but the Council will ensure that residents always have access to their property, although there may be short delays.

Parking will be restricted on Hungerhill Road while the works are undertaken. These restrictions will be in place from 8.00am until approximately 16:30pm on the days indicated on the notices that will be put up on lampposts. There will be at least 24 hours’ notice given before the enforcement begins. Vehicles should be removed from the road by 8.00am.

For more information about the works or to discuss special access requirements call 0115 915 2000.

Councillor Nick McDonald, Portfolio Holder for Jobs, Growth and Transport at Nottingham City Council, said: “We have to carry out these repairs quickly to make sure that Hungerhill Road is made safe for road users. Because it is such a busy road there will be some delays to traffic flow. I apologise for the inconvenience this will cause residents and road users.”
