Nottingham City Council will soon be carrying out planned resurfacing works on Cattle Market Road between the junction of Iremonger Road and Incinerator Road.

The resurfacing work is planned to start on the Sunday 4th October and is expected to take three nights to complete. Working times will be restricted to between 6pm and 11pm each night.

To enable the work works to be carried out safely, both County Road and Cattle Market Road will be closed to through traffic and only local access maintained. A diversion route will be in place and temporary lights will be in operation to manage traffic, so road users should allow extra time for journeys.

For more information about the works or to discuss special access requirements call 0115 915 2000.

Councillor Nick McDonald, Portfolio Holder for Growth, Jobs and Transport at Nottingham City Council, said: “The work being carried out will ensure that Cattle Market Road continues to be safe for all road users. To minimise disruption this work will take place outside peak traffic hours but this is a busy route, so there will be some delays to traffic flow which may cause inconvenience. We would like to thank people for their continued patience while works continue on our roads.

“Nottingham has one of the best integrated transport systems in the UK and proactive road maintenance works like this play a vital part in keeping the traffic moving, making roads safer and improving journey times. This is important for drivers, businesses and public transport.”
