A Week of Action will take place in St Ann’s from Monday 26 October to celebrate the neighbourhood and the community that live in the area.

There is plenty on offer included Bulb Planting, a Health and Wellbeing Family Fun Day and a Talent Show to showcase the skills of people in St Ann’s.

In addition there will be clean up activity taking place on Random Road and Chandos Street and education and enforcement activity along Abbotsford Drive on issues such as bins on streets, dog fouling and fly tipping.

Cllr Nicola Heaton, Portfolio Holder for Community Services, at Nottingham City Council, said: “The St Ann’s Week of Action is all about the community. There are many community events and activity for all ages to come together and enjoy. It’s a time to get out and about in St Ann’s and really discover what’s on offer on your doorstep.

“The work towards the Week of Action is made possible by the support of many individuals, voluntary and community groups and other public services who work in the St Ann’s area.

“Our call to residents in the area is to play their part. Get involved where you can, and encourage your friends and family too!”
