Former ITV Sports presenter Gary Newbon is set to host the Nottingham Football Hall of Fame heroes on November 3rd at the Motorpoint Arena.

Newbon, who covered Midlands football for ITV over a number of years, will present the Nottingham football event of the year to help celebrate Nottingham Forest and Notts County’s induction into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame.

The former ITV and Sky Sports broadcaster will present the evening live on stage with a host of famous guests from past and present.

Newbon said: “I spent a number of very memorable years covering the stories of both clubs and I am honoured to have been asked to present such a prestigious evening.

“It is fantastic to see all of the elements that make football in Nottingham so special come together to celebrate the beautiful game and honour the heroes of the past whilst looking ahead to the future of the game in the city.”

Footballing heroes from the past and present will join together on November 3rd at the Motorpoint Arena as the Nottingham Forest European Cup-winning squads and the oldest professional football club in the world, Notts County, take their rightful place amongst the world’s football elite.

Football fans and enthusiasts from across Nottinghamshire are expected to attend the gala event, which is hosted by Nottingham City Council, and celebrate Nottingham’s status as the City of Football.

Fans will get the chance to meet the stars from past and present as they share their favourite goals and moments from Nottingham’s rich footballing history as well as looking forward to the future of football in the city and the achievements of the Nottingham City of Football project.
