Why not show your support for our local heritage by visiting one of the many historic sites we have across the city for FREE on Heritage Open Days.

Do you fancy seeing the history of crime and punishment with a tour of the National Justice Museum, or maybe hanging with the deer at Wollaton Hall, a visit to Greens Windmill is a must or maybe you fancy some poetry down by the Byron’s lake at Newstead Abbey. There are lots of sites for you to visit for FREE as part of the Heritage Open Days 2022.

Every September thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.
