One lucky prize draw winner will receive a month’s Council Tax payment for free.

Every time a city resident changes to getting their Council Tax bill by email rather than in the post it saves the City Council money. That is why the council is encouraging people to go paperless with a prize draw that will reward one lucky city resident with a month’s free Council Tax – or a £50 intu voucher, whichever is the greatest. To be in the draw, you will need to be a current Nottingham City Council tax payer, aged 18 or over and register for paperless billing by 28 February 2017 and remain signed up on 3 April, when the draw takes place. Those already signed up to paperless billing will also be included in the draw.

Councillor Graham Chapman, Nottingham City Council Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for resources and Neighbourhood Regeneration said: “Getting your Council Tax in a paperless way saves money for the council, is quick and handy and is good for the environment. This prize draw is being organised to encourage more people to sign up to paperless billing. The average monthly tax figure is £98 so this is a really good incentive to go paperless.”
To go paperless you will need to have your name and address as it appears on your Council Tax Bill, your eight digit Council Tax Number and your ten character On Line Key as shown on your latest Council Tax Bill or Notice.

Go to the Council Tax pages and select the ‘Start button’ under ‘Account Details.’
