Budding Triathletes have a great opportunity to take part in the City of Nottingham Triathlon on Saturday 2 September 2017 and until the end of the month, anybody entering will have the chance to win tickets to the Grandstand to watch the inaugural British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup when international triathletes compete in the City, later the same day.
The City of Nottingham Triathlon involves a 300m pool swim (9 lengths) at The Portland Centre, a 12km flat and very safe bike ride on closed roads, and a flat 3km run. This distance can also be entered as a relay team.
It’s guaranteed to be a friendly introduction to the sport for those not experienced in competing, and it will be a super fun sprint for everyone who takes part. The bike and run set up will also be used by the elite athletes for the Mixed Relay Cup later in the day.
Delivered by award winning event management company OSB Events and Nottingham City Council, this will be a professionally run event with electronic timing, unique finishers medals and t-shirts and a first for Nottinghamshire with closed roads being offered. Don’t miss this unique and exciting challenge!
There will also be a shorter distance GO TRI event, this is for those wanting to try their first triathlon, but wish to take part in a shorter, non-competitive event. The distance will be approx. 200 metre swim, 6km bike and a 1.5km run.

GO Tri events are a wonderful way of involving the public and getting them involved in the thrill of competing across the same course as Olympians such as Jonny Brownlee and Vicky Holland. I would urge anybody thinking about a first triathlon to take the plunge before the event fills up – especially as there is a chance to win tickets to watch the international athletes afterwards.”

Anybody entered to the City of Nottingham Triathlon by 9am, Monday 7 August will be in with a chance to win one of three pairs of Grandstand tickets for the British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup. Those who have already entered the race will also be eligible for the competition. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted individually.
