We are saddened to hear that Karl White has died from Covid and send our deep condolences to all who knew and loved him.
As a valued member of our youth services team for 32 years until retiring in 2016, including running Meadows Youth Centre, he was a good man who was always putting the needs of Meadows young people first, firmly based in his community and understanding their needs.
Jamaican born, Karl had lived in Nottingham since 1968, and most recently had been organising football for kids from The Meadows having previously formed local team FC Cavaliers.
He was also serving as a member of the boards of Queens Walk Community Association and The Bridges Community Trust, and was known by many as ‘Mr Meadows.’
