Councillor Jon Collins, Leader of Nottingham City Council, said: “Our thoughts are with the victims and families of this terrible attack at the Manchester Arena, and we pay tribute to the emergency services who worked through the night to support them.

“Clearly this was an event that would have been attended by many families and children. Anyone in Nottingham who thinks that somebody they know may have been affected by the incident can call the emergency number – 0800 096 0095 .

“Flags will be flying at half-mast across our Council buildings and there is a book of condolence at the Council House this morning for anyone wishing to pay their respects.”

There is also a book of condolence at Clifton Cornerstone on Southchurch Drive for those who can’t make it into the city.

Manchester City Council have opened an online book of condolence for anyone wanting to pay their respects and show solidarity, you can find this here – https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/TKKJ2/
