Resurfacing works will take place on University Boulevard starting 8pm on Friday 5th August and continuing throughout the weekend until (approx. 5am) on Monday 8th August.
During this period University Boulevard eastbound (towards the city centre), will be closed to traffic with diversions via the A52 Derby Road, in place. In addition, University Boulevard westbound (from the city centre towards Beeston) will also be closed overnight between 8pm – 7am (5am Monday).
Access to the Hockey Club, Tennis Centre and Nottingham Science Park will be maintained. Access to the University of Nottingham, including Lakeside Arts Centre and Highfields Park, will not be possible from University Boulevard. However visitors to Lakeside Arts Centre and Highfields are advised to enter the University Park campus via the north and west entrances.
These works have been timed for the summer period over a weekend to keep traffic disruption to a minimum as far as possible. There will be some bus diversions, so please check with your local provider for details. Trams will continue to run as normal.
If you are planning on attending the Nottingham Riverside Festival, sponsored by BMI
The Park Hospital, please allow additional time for your journey, consider an alternative
route or the free Park and Ride sites at Clifton South and Toton Lane.
A plan showing the temporary restrictions is shown below.
While Nottingham City Council has tried to time these works to minimise traffic disruption, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to assure you that we will endeavour to complete the works as quickly as possible.
