Did you know your unused laptops, tablets and smartphones could be a lifeline for someone in need? Whether it’s helping a child with their homework, allowing someone to apply for a job, or keeping families connected, your old devices can make a real difference.
Join your fellow Nottingham residents already donating their old tech! Nottingham City Council has partnered with Recycle Your Electricals, Reconome, and Good Things Foundation on a pilot project to give your unwanted tech a second life.
Worried about deleting your personal data?
We’ve got you covered! It’s easier than you think to safely clear your devices. Simply follow the steps in our data deletion guide.
There’s no better time to declutter your drawers and help those in need. Drop off your old laptops, tablets and smartphones at one of six easily accessible locations points across the city in libraries and leisure centres:
● Djanogly Community Leisure Centre
● Harvey Hadden Sports Village
Don’t let your tech go to waste – drop-off points will close on 31st January 2025.
If your device can’t be reused, it will be responsibly recycled so the materials can be made into new items. Find out more here: https://www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk/nottingham-tech-donation/
Do you have other items to clear out? Remember anything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled and could be turned into everything from children’s playgrounds to life-saving equipment. Find your local drop off point here.
Thanks for being part of this important initiative! Together we can create a better, more sustainable Nottingham.
