Wollaton Hall

Discover the Natural History Museum, including the newly refurbished Taxidermist’s Gallery featuring a giraffe and the Long Gallery featuring George the Gorilla, and be inspired with the ‘Miniature Masterpieces’ exhibition Disappearing Worlds by Dr Willard Wigan. Plan your visit

The Hall will also be home to the Festival Of Science & Curiosity on Saturday 10 February, with science stalls, interactive activities and presentations from scientists in the Education Room.

You can also explore the grounds with a ‘Welly Boot’ themed outdoor trail for children throughout half-term. Tickets are available for £2 at all till points (shop, café and Hall)

Nottingham Castle

Explore the caves this half-term and hear the tales from beneath the depths of Nottingham Castle on a cave tour, and see Mortimer’s hole or King David’s Dungeon (subject to the cave availability on the day). Book your tickets

Let your little ones discover the myths and legends of Nottingham Castle this February half term on the Indoor Myths & Legends trail. Travel back in time and explore the galleries in search of Robin Hood and other mythological characters on this children’s trail and take part in creating votive offerings and natural crafts to pay homage to our legends. Activity charges apply – available from the shops and cafés.

Newstead Abbey & Gardens

Visit the historic house and learn about the fascinating history of Newstead Abbey and it’s past residents on a self-led walk through the house, including the private bedroom & study of Lord Byron and rooms lived in by the Webb family during their time there. Learn more

Let the kids discover more a Spring Flower themed outdoor trail for children. Available for £2 at all entrance points (A60 gate, café, shop and House).
