Nottingham City Council has issued an update highlighting the ongoing impact of the Love Your Streets and Love Your City Centre programmes.
As these two campaigns continue to work hand-in-hand with Neighbourhood Safety, Waste and Cleansing Teams, the city is seeing stronger partnerships, cleaner neighbourhoods, and improved community engagement across Nottingham.
Throughout the last three months, teams have been delivering visible results, supporting residents, improving local environments, tackling environmental crime, reducing waste contamination, and maintaining the city’s cleanliness and safety.
In this period, officers have carried out thousands of investigations and patrols across neighbourhoods and the city centre. These efforts have led to successful enforcement activity, significant waste removal, proactive education and engagement, and rapid responses to urgent issues. From tackling fly-tipping and graffiti to keeping public spaces safe and welcoming, the teams have remained committed to supporting Nottingham’s communities.
Highlights include almost 700 cases of graffiti investigations and removals, over 2,600 hours of clean-up activity across communities, the removal of over 855 tonnes of fly-tipping waste and almost 2,400 patrols including patrols on transport networks and high-visibility patrols across the city.
Cllr Corall Jenkins, Executive Member for Communities, Waste and Equalities, said: “I am incredibly proud of the dedicated teams working across our city to make Nottingham cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for residents, businesses and visitors.
“These results show what can be achieved when teams work closely with communities, listen to concerns, and take proactive action. As we move into the colder months, our focus remains on supporting neighbourhoods, responding quickly to issues, and continuing to build a city we can all be proud of.”
As the Council looks ahead to winter, the focus remains firmly on maintaining momentum and strengthening partnerships as the final Day of Action of 2025 will take place in December, where officers will continue to clean up and patrol hotspots in the city.
