Summer must be here In Nottingham, with plenty of favourite events lined up to get underway in the coming weeks.

Nottingham Beach will be back at Old Market Square this summer from Tuesday 25 July – Sunday 3 September 2023. There’s a whole host of seaside attractions, food outlets and a beach bar for the whole of the summer holidays. The popular waterslides are back this year and can be booked in advance.

Splendour Festival is back for its 15th anniversary, with a two-day event taking place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 July. Two icons of UK music, Madness and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, are taking the headline spot. Plenty of other musical acts, as well as a comedy stage, food and drink and lots more besides will make it another fantastic festival at Wollaton Park. Some tickets are still available.

Riverside Festival will be back at Nottingham’s Victoria Embankment from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 August 2023. Offering a wide range of entertainment, it’s the region’s biggest free festival, bringing live music, dragon boat racing, fireworks and all the fun of the fair to Victoria Embankment alongside the River Trent.And of course don’t forget that 

Nottingham Castle is open once again, with a £12 entry fee per adult for all-year access, while kids 15 and under go free. You can also purchase tickets for other people as a gift. There’s plenty to discover on the site, with the new Robin Hood Adventures and Rebellion Galleries, plus adventure playground, land train and Brewhouse Yard. Also look out for some great events coming up on the site, including open air theatre which kicks off with Jane Austen’s Emma in a fortnight’s time.
