The #NottinghamStar campaign aims to recognise and celebrate the efforts of Nottingham’s volunteers, charities and community/voluntary groups.
Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS) and Nottingham City Council have joined forces to set-up the #NottinghamStar campaign. The campaign has been designed to shine a spotlight on the kindness and generosity which individuals and groups have shown to people during the pandemic – and give those that have been supported the chance to say thanks.
As part of the campaign the four images above have been created. People are being encouraged to download and send their favourite image by email or WhatsApp, to a #NottinghamStar they would like to thank for making a positive difference to their lives. People can also get involved by sharing the campaign’s imagery on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, tagging the person they’d like to thank and using the hashtag #NottinghamStar.
The #NottinghamStar could be a neighbour, friend, family member or volunteer who has stepped in to help by picking up a prescription or making up a care package for someone who is self-isolating or it could be a local community group or charity that has provided a regular food delivery or donated essential supplies to a keyworker. It could be anyone who has made a difference and helped others during difficult times.
