Visitors to Nottingham Castle will be able to take advantage of a new entry offer from June 1 2016.

The new season will see a small rise in admission rates. This will mean £7 entry (previously £6) for adults. There is also the option of a £20 (previously £18) family ticket which will admit up to two adults and three children. Children and concession ticket prices will remain at £5.

The current Citycard offer which allowed the holder entry for £2 has now been replaced by the new offer.

The great news for local visitors is that once this ticket has been purchased, it can be used as many times as they like for 12 months from the purchase date. This means a considerable annual saving and provides limitless opportunities to visit and enjoy the wonderful temporary exhibitions such as the current show, Gordon Cheung – Here Be Dragons and the Leonardo da Vinci drawings touring in the summer; as well as the grounds and the collections on permanent display over the year.

The offer will not apply to ticketed events at Nottingham Castle or for cave tours.

Councillor Dave Trimble, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture said. “The decision to raise prices was made after careful thought and with a lot of research into the policies of other visitor attractions across the country. This kind of pricing policy is increasingly common and represents great value for money offer for our visitors, particularly those who are local.

We are providing the public with the chance to see ground-breaking exhibitions, an opportunity to revisit some of the exhibits they enjoy the most, or an option to just stroll round the gardens in a lunch break at no further cost. The invitation is to enjoy everything Nottingham Castle has to offer as many times as they choose over the year.”

Visitors not wanting to take advantage of this offer can still buy a single use visitor ticket each time they visit. If they choose to register for a visitor pass for multiple use, they will need to provide a name, postcode and valid identification to register the card and this ID will need to be shown each time the card is presented.
