A statement from Nottingham City Council Leader, Councillor Neghat Khan, on the publication of Independent Maternity Review – Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
“The findings of the review are extremely concerning and make very difficult reading, particularly of course to the parents and families involved. It’s difficult to imagine everything they have been through and our thoughts are with them as they try to come to terms with the outcome of the review and the failings highlighted.
“The Trust and the wider health service owe it to them to ensure that urgent action continues to be taken to implement all of the recommendations made to ensure nothing like this can ever happen again.”
