Lithuania’s Ricardas Berankis and Dudi Sela of Israel, who collected titles at the Nottingham Tennis Centre in 2010 and 2011 respectively, will be looking to add to their previous East Midlands hauls when they line up for the $150 ATP Challenger Tour event, which runs between 10 and 18 June.

Tickets for the Aegon Open Nottingham are on sale now

The Aegon Open Nottingham field includes a list of players with proven grass-court records, with Sergiy Stakhovsky picking up one of his four ATP World Tour crowns on the surface, while Japan’s Go Soeda lost out to Berankis in the 2011 Aegon Trophy final and Kenny De Schepper reached the semi-finals of the same tournament 12 months later.

Paul Hutchins, the Aegon Open Nottingham tournament director, said: “It is great to have a number of players with a title-winning track record returning for this year’s event.

“Dudi Sela and Ricardas Berankis are just two players who spectators at the Nottingham Tennis Centre will know well and will be looking forward to seeing again, with Dan Evans the pick of the familiar faces who have challenged for glory in the city in the past.”

This year’s Aegon Open Nottingham will be an historic event for the city, as it is the first time in 44 years that ATP event has been combined with a WTA tournament.
