Christmas Market at the Castle

It’s in Nottingham bring their Christmas Market to Nottingham Castle this weekend, featuring over 35 independent stallholders, festive food and drink and family-friendly entertainment.
Tickets are now sold out, but if you didn’t manage to get a ticket you may still be able to visit. Limited walk-ups (£1 entry per person) will be available on the door, subject to site capacity at that time. You may encounter a short wait at busy times, particularly at the start of each session.
Ticketholders must arrive within their allocated timeslot but can stay at the event for as long as they like (up to the closing time). Tickets include access to the Christmas Market, Nottingham Castle and grounds. Please note that the Museum and Galleries will close at 6pm on Saturday.
Nottingham Castle annual pass holders will be allowed to enter for free during any timeslot. Read more here.
Winter Wonderland
Old Market Square

Old Market Square has once again been transformed into a Winter Wonderland.
Festive fun seekers can skate around the square on the Sky Skate path, or for those not so keen on heights, enjoy the ground-level ice rink.
There are stunning places to enjoy food and drink, including the Ice Bar and Sur La Piste and Altitude ski chalet bars, and wide range of unique market stalls to complete your Christmas shopping. You can also get a twinkling view of the city on the observation wheel.
To avoid disappointment and to skip queues on the day, it’s recommended to book in advance for ice skating, bar experiences and observation wheel fast-track access. Nottingham city residents can also receive a 10% discount on super off-peak and off-peak skating bookings. Book here.

Christmas Lights Switch-On

An evening of great entertainment with live music to be announced, and a countdown for the Christmas tree light switch-on at the Nottingham Central Library.
The café/bar will be open and serving a small selection of food and drinks. This event is free, however it is ticketed. Doors open at 7pm and the event will finish at 11pm, with the bar closing at 10.30pm. Book here.
