Nottingham Beach will be making a welcome return this year for everybody to enjoy over the summer holidays. Engulfing Old Market Square in summer fun, it will open on Monday 25 July and run until the end of the school holidays on Sunday 4 September.

New for 2022 is the Giant Slip ‘n Slide, a ticketed attraction within Nottingham Beach that comprises two giant inflatable waterslides:

  • The Arrow is the largest inflatable urban waterslide in the UK. A 55m long, 14m wide, 13m high, two-lane waterslide where you can race against your friends.
  • Little John is a 22m long, 18m wide, 7.5m high waterpark with 6 lanes of slides. Splashing in to an 18m x 10m pool that can also be used for general paddling.

Cllr Pavlos Kotsonis – Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture, and Planning at Nottingham City Council said: “We are very happy to be able to bring the Beach back for the people of Nottingham. It is a great place to spend time with the family in the summer and to have a fun day out and a great holiday experience for free. People can spend the whole day there or just pop out for a break at lunchtime or after work.”

The company behind this summer’s entertainment in Old Market Square is the Mellors Group.

Edward Mellors, a director of the Mellors Group said: “After our extended break, it is wonderful to be back and we hope that people enjoy the return of the popular Nottingham Beach with the added excitement of the brand-new attractions.
