Parents and carers of children who are due to start primary school in September 2019 are being urged to register their children now for the application process.

Children in Nottingham City who were born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 will need to register by 30 September 2018 to ensure they receive an application pack from Nottingham City Council.

The pack will have all of the information parents and carers need to enable them to apply for a place when the Primary School Admissions process starts in November 2018.

The easiest way for people to register for an application pack is to go online at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/schooladmissions.

Cllr Neghat Khan, Portfolio Holder for Education and Skills, said: “Although the summer holidays have started and school feels a long way away, it is really important that parents and carers take action now to register for an application pack.

“If children are registered then it means we will be able to send parents and carers all of the information they need to apply for a primary school place in September 2019 when the admissions process starts in November 2018.

“If people aren’t sure what to do, then please get in touch with our admissions team who will be on hand to help.”

People are encouraged to register online, but for more information about the process, parents and carers can also email schooladmissions@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or phone 0115 841 5568.

Full information regarding the primary application process will be on our website from 16 November 2018: www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/schooladmissions
