Britain’s best archery talent will be in action at the Nottingham Building Society Archery GB National Series Finals at Wollaton Park, on Saturday 24 September.
Archers from all over Great Britain will compete in four categories – recurve women and recurve men, and compound women and compound men – including Olympians, Naomi Folkard and Patrick Huston who came 7th and 17th respectively at the Rio Olympics.
The event, which is completely free for spectators, will see Wollaton Park transformed into an archery arena to showcase the thrilling head-to-head competition. It’s hoped that the free event will inspire even more local people to get involved in archery and have a go.
The National Series Finals promise to be a great weekend of fun for the whole family with the chance to have a go at archery, enjoy children’s play areas and explore Batman’s mansion.
The event will start at 10am, finishing at around 5pm on Saturday 24 September. Car parking charges apply at Wollaton Park – it’s £4 to park all day. For more information regarding the National Series please visit – www.archerygb.org
Competing for the honour of becoming (Nottingham Building Society) Archery GB National Series Champions, 32 competitors, including reigning champions Naomi Folkard, Patrick Huston and Neil Bridgewater, will be showcasing their expert skills across four different archery events.

The success of the event would not have been possible without the commitment and backing that we have received from Nottingham City Council and the Nottingham Building Society.
“It’s been an exceptional year for British archers, delivering success on both a national and international stage. We are expecting an exciting battle for the title of National Series champion within each category.
“The weekend will also be a great opportunity for people to get involved and have a go at archery, as well as a range of other activities to keep the whole family entertained.”
