Bilborough Library is holding a free drop-in Technology Day on Tuesday 28 March to help people become more comfortable using technology and self service facilities in their local library.

It is an opportunity to explore, learn and discover more about:

•      How to keep in touch with friends and family online
•      Digital books, e-magazines and audio books
•      iPads, tablets and computers
•      Renewing and reserving books online
•      Scanning, copying, printing and faxing

Technology can help make life simpler but it can also sometimes seem daunting. This relaxed and fun afternoon will provide people with the chance to have a go, with friendly staff on hand to help, and the option of bringing in a family photo to scan and print. There is no need to book; free tea and coffee will be available.

The event, taking place between 1.30pm-5.30pm, is funded through the Bilborough Ward Councillors budget. It aims to benefit local residents by helping them to become more confident with technology which is used in many areas of daily life.

Nottingham City Libraries are passionate about increasing digital literacy and regularly hold group and One2one IT learning sessions to help new learners get online.
