Nottingham City Council is urging to schools and parents to support the new #ThankOurChildren campaign launched by the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire.

The campaign fronted by Sir John Peace aims to recognise the huge efforts of schools, children and their families as part of the response to the Covid-19 crisis and to keep people safe.

Working with Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue and local NHS partners, the campaign is asking families and schools to download special certificates to present to children.

Sir John said: “Schools would be very welcome to place a link to them their own website and share all of the wonderful pictures on their websites and social media. Please use the hashtag #ThankOurChildren so we can show the world how amazing our children and young people are.”

The city council has written to all schools in Nottingham to encourage them to take part.

Certificates can be downloaded from the Lord Lieutenant’s website here. They are free to use and can be given to all children and young people.

Please post on social media with the hashtag #ThankOurChildren.
